Events and Classes—One Time
Sun. Classes for Fri. Night Bardic—Sun., 11/3/24, 8:30pm EST (7:30 CST)—”Understanding Rhythm in Music”
Join us on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 8:30pm EST (7:30pm Central), for a class on “Understanding Rhythm in Music”, taught by Mistress Rohais de Ravenscroft.
Rhythm is a vital part of anything you sing or play. It’s the heartbeat of the music, and without it, our performances can feel chaotic, unfocused, or lifeless. And yet, as important as it is, we often spend more time on other elements — the tune, the lyrics, or the phrasing — and hope that the rhythm will sort itself out on its own, if we give it any thought at all.
This class will combine theory with practice. Come prepared to clap your hands and stomp your feet as we work on finding the heartbeat in your music.
